As Government Affairs Program Associate, Saima tracks
legislation as it moves through the State Legislature and records
lawmakers' votes on significant environmental measures. She
serves as a lobbyist for Environmental Advocates of New York and coordinates the weekly distribution of
our bill evaluation
memos.
Prior
to joining Environmental Advocates, Saima was a
project coordinator for the New York Public Interest Research
Group (NYPIRG) where she coordinated the research, advocacy and
outreach efforts of offices at SUNY Old Westbury and CUNY
Queens College.
Saima has a
B.A. in Psychology & Women's Studies from Stony Brook University.
