Action Alerts – This is our on-line activism tool. Members of this free service receive action alerts via e-mail that allow you to send faxes and e-mails to decision-makers on key environmental issues. But if you prefer to handwrite a letter, check out our specific alerts to get a general idea on how a letter is written and you can adapt them to send personally.

Earth Day – Environmental Advocates has been one of the lead organizers of the annual Earth Day Lobby Day, an event that brings hundreds of activists and students from across the state, and countless local, state and national environmental groups to Albany each April. Lobby a Legislator – Here we offer tips on running a lobbying meeting and speaking with the legislator. When you lobby a legislator, it's always wise to follow up with a letter or a phone call. When you try to get in touch with a legislator by phone, you will probably speak to a member of his/her staff.
