WHAT IS ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIP?

To improve the effectiveness of New York's environmental community, Environmental Advocates is offering membership to any nonprofit organization that works on environmental or environmental health issues.

By providing the benefits listed below, we hope to assist your organization's advocacy efforts, keep you informed of issues facing New York State's environment and enable you to participate more effectively in the state's policy making process. • Green Sheet New York - EA's monthly newsletter, providing timely information on critical statewide environmental issues.


• Voters' Guide - Produced by EPL/Environmental Advocates, this annual guide provides a recap of how the legislature responded to the key issues of the session, and includes an environmental scorecard for each member of the state Senate and Assembly.


• Telephone Support - Our program staff is available to assist your organization by answering questions about environmental issues and the legislative process.


• Earth Day Lobby Day - Environmental Advocates coordinates with other key environmental groups on the state to organize an annual Earth Day Lobby Day on critical environmental concerns. Your organization's involvement in this event provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about issues and speak directly with the state legislators.
